ABOUT OUR CREW

Founded in 1989, Hartman & Sons kicked off with a small retail outlet. With a humble group of 5 staff members, Hartman started to lay down the foundation of a successful family business. In 1993 a second retail outlet was launched to offer a more affordable range of products and meat cuts.

The birth of Hartman Wholesale in 1996 was a huge step into the direction of specialising towards the Wholesale / Hospitality industry. Hartman & Sons’ own Abattoir was launched in 2003, Laingsburg, chosen for its ideal natural vegetation producing some of the finest lamb in the world. Hartman & Sons Abattoir, Laingsburg remains an exciting addition to our group.

2006 Earmark the year of our new processing facility. State of the art facility and equipment was acquired to produce cured and smoked products of the highest quality.
